I’ve Done My Time Today

Today was a long day for me.  I had to be back at the parish this morning at 6:45 a.m. to open up for someone.  I had the 8:30 a.m. Mass and then a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass.

After the two Masses, I grabbed a quick bit to eat and went outside to set up my area (the MegaPass area at our festival) for the afternoon.  Our festival began at 2:00 p.m.  However, volunteers start coming in to set up around 12:30 p.m. and some of the first festival goers come in at 1:30 p.m. to get their wristbands.

I worked the festival until 6:50 p.m. and then took a half hour to stroll around the fest grounds visiting people and giving out some visitor wristbands for unlimited rides.

After spreading that little bit of pixie dust, I came back to the hotel.  As soon as I hit the “publish” button, I’m jumping in my bed and going to sleep.  I felt a little guilty about leaving early since the festival goes until Midnight tonight; however, I have to be up at 4:00 a.m. in order to get back to the parish to open the church at 4:45 a.m. and prepare for the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. Masses.

Festival tomorrow is from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m.  And.  Then.  It.  Is.  Over!!!   I’m just a little happy about that. 🙂

For all of you who have joined us for our festival days, many thanks.  There’s still one more day of enjoyment.  The weather is supposed to be another glorious day.  Come on out.
