Today was the day that we said farewell to the employees at St. Meinrad Archabbey Guesthouse.  We have been there since Sunday evening, making a private retreat.

Fr. Brian and I generally go down to St. Meinrad every July for retreat.  It is almost always hot as Hades but the environment, the buildings, and the community are welcoming and inspiring.

As an added “bonus” for me, I was the one who drove down and back this year.  I used my new car so was able to see it in action.  It is nice and comfortable and rides quite well.  Fr. Brian liked it as well.  It’s a keeper.

Well, that is about all for now.  As you can well imagine, I am a bit tired from the road and am planning on hitting the sack early.  I’ve kept all of you who have asked for prayer intentions in my prayer and hope that God blesses you abundantly.

For now, g’night.  See you next year, St. Meinrad Archabbey Guesthouse!
