Still Much More To Go

My day is only half over; but, there is still so much to do.

I woke up at 4:15 a.m. so that I could open the church and get ready for the 6:30 a.m. Mass.  After Mass, I had to go to Strack & Van Tils to purchase pop for the staff.  They go through a LOT of beverage here.  🙂  I had several things to get done this morning because I am leaving Wednesday for Indianapolis.

At 11:30 a.m., Fr. Jordan and I left for our deanery meeting at Broadway Methodist Hospital.  We picked up Fr. Keith on the way.  Lunch was at 12:30 p.m. and the meeting began at 1:00 p.m.

We got home a short while ago.

I decided that I better write my blog post now because, in a half hour, we are going to lose power — again — as they put the church office, chapel, church, and school office on the generator.  When they do the actual connections, the power will be shut down to the house as well.  Hopefully, we will be back up by 8:00 p.m. but, as you can see by my posting this blog now, I’m not holding my breath.

We have our weekly building meeting with the contractors in a half hour.  At 5:30 p.m., I have to be at a local funeral home to do a wake service.  At 6:00 p.m., I have a standing appointment.  After that, I will go to a, most likely, darkened house and listen to the alarm chirping notification that we have lost our AC connection. *sigh*

Will write again tomorrow.  Until then, think happy thoughts…

Okay, props when props are due:  the electricity went out at 3:30 p.m. as scheduled and came back on the generator at 4:45 p.m.  An hour and fifteen minutes.  I’m impressed, guys!
