This evening, we met with the people who will become new Catholics at the Easter Vigil. Some are young people who will be baptized and others are adults who have been baptized in another faith but who will be professing their faith in the Catholic Church on Saturday night. Following the baptisms or professions of faith is Confirmation and, toward the end of Mass, First Communion.
This is always a nervous time and an exciting time for those preparing to enter the Church.
Saturday is going to be very special for them! Our parish, and parishes throughout the world, are preparing to congratulation and welcome our newest members in the faith.
