A Good Early Morning Call

I received a phone call from my doctor’s pacemaker department this morning.  My unit transmitted its monthly report last Thursday but the person who reads my reports was on vacation.  She came back in this morning and went straight to the report because she was concerned about last month’s event.

She was happy to report that all is back to normal.

I have recorded no events, my leads are fine, and I have 2.7 years left on my battery.  Looks like surgery to replace the unit will be late 2020 to early 2021.

I rested a lot today.  A lot.  Last night, I slept like a baby.  I haven’t had that good of a sleep in a long time.  What makes it more remarkable was that it was on a small bed that is not very comfortable.  I never even felt the bed, well, except for the movement.  The bed “shook” like jello, kind of like what it feels like in my bed on a cruise ship.

Hey, maybe that’s why.  Maybe, subconsciously, I thought I was on a cruise.  Anyway, for those of you following my blog and occasional health reports, I’m back to “normal.”  (Yeah, no comments from the peanut gallery on that declaration of “normal”. 🙂 )
