Life is all about little defeats and little victories. The big stuff doesn’t happen that often, the little stuff happens daily.
I experienced a little victory this morning. For the past couple of weeks, I have been doing my best to “watch myself” when it came to holiday eating. I almost always put on the “Christmas Fifteen” very similar to the Freshman Fifteen. 🙂 Well, this year, that was different.
Don’t get me wrong. I received — and ate — cookies, candies, and other assorted goodies. I just did more in moderation. When I got on the scale this morning, my net result for the past two weeks was -1 pound. I will definitely take that to a gain of 10 to 15 pounds!
Now, if only I will be able to say that after coming back from my vacation to Disney in January. I usually pack on some pounds there with the wonderful eating that we do. I’m already preparing myself mentally to special ordering. At some of the places we go nightly, I plan on make a meal of an appetizer and soup or salad and refrain from desserts. And walking, of course. Plenty of walking will be on order for the time down there.
I hope to be able to claim another victory toward the end of January.
