Today was my day to “up my game” in terms of walking. I have to admit that I do not get as much walking in at home that I should; so, when I come here, I try to do a lot more. Today, after a few days of more than moderate walking, I declaring a hiking day.
I began by going to EPCOT. I walked from the Boardwalk to EPCOT’s front entrance and then took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom so I could walk through that park as well.
When I first walked in, there was a horse drawn wagon there with space for one more person. I have never been on that before and thought, “what the heck”. It was being moved to the castle for a morning show. Because of that, they were giving guests a one-way ride and I took it. Here is a picture of me next to the magnificent horse!
While there, I stopped to do a few of the more nostalgic offerings. First, I went on the Carousel of Progress. It’s a great big beautiful tomorrow…

From there, I walked around a whole lot more, visiting shops and attractions along the way.
For dinner tonight, we went to Morimoto of Asia at Disney Springs. This is a super quality place.
I generally do not drink; however, they had something on the menu that intrigued me: Sake Sangria, made with a couple of different sakes and plum wine. It had freshly cut pears and apples in it as well.
I have to tell you, it was so good that I actually had a second one with my meal. Yum!
Speaking of the meal, I was intrigued with the sashimi combo. This very colorful dish with seven different seafood items (a few variety of tuna, sea bass, mackerel, smoked mackerel, salmon, and octopus) took the prize for presentation. And, let me tell you, it tasted many times better than it looked. What a winner!
After dinner, we went to the local gelato shop, Vivoli il Gelato, for dessert. They’re as real as you can get. Their sister-shop is in Florence, Italy. Outside of the gelato shop (and next to The Boathouse) is an open-air entertainment center. Tonight, Nicholas Marks was playing. This guy is very dynamic and well work staying to listen to his set. A couple of years ago, I purchased a couple of his CD’s which he has for sale after his performance. I love his take on music both classical and popular.
