This is not the kind of record I like breaking. The cold has set all sorts of records in area and now we have one to five inches of snow coming? I am so done with winter! 🙂
February, dear February, please be gentle…
There have been a LOT of people indoors the past few days because of the dangerous cold. Then again, there have been others who have had to brave the elements because of their jobs. To emergency services people — police, firefighters, EMTs, doctors, nurses and the like — please allow me to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Let’s also remember all those who continued to get people or products from point A to point B: truckers, bus drivers, train engineers and their crews, pilots, and the like.
When times get really rough, there are those who hunker down because they have the ability to (and it helps to minimize accidents by keeping people off the roads) and there are those who go out into the elements because that is what they chose to do for their profession.
