The Definition Of Forever

Do you know what the definition of forever might be?  I’ll tell you.  It’s called “elections”.  Geez, Louise . . . it’s nowhere near time and we are already hearing about this candidate and that candidate.  Politics seems to be nothing but character assassination nowadays.

What happened to the “good old days” when each party would surface one good candidate?  Why are there so many nowadays in each party?  To quote a movie line, “I now understand why animals eat their young.”

All I know is that my television will be off and my cursor will quickly move over all the political garbage presented on line.

Decency.  When will politics exemplify decency once again?  Is that really too much to ask for?

Okay.  I’ll get off my soap box now.  I feel a little bit better.

  1. Everyone beyond the mid-line of age has the same question… where have we gone wrong? The older generation remembers the “good ole days” when the world (our country) was more black and white. Now we have a lot of grey… and it’s not just politics. I sat next to Father Place at a Franciscan hospital meeting yesterday, and said the very same thing. And he agreed! (And I don’t thing he’s that old!). But then everyone is younger than me . God willing, I’ll be 87 this year… And you’re about the same age as my oldest son, who died 10 years ago. God Bless!
