It Doesn’t Want To Let Go

Earlier this year, we all thought summer would never get here.  It was rainy and cold forever.  And then, summer arrived.  But not really with a vengeance.  It just arrived.

In the past few days, though, summer is makes noise saying that it does not want to leave.  The weather has been hot and humid and stormy and, well, summer.  With autumn fast approaching, summer is saying, “I’m not leaving.”

I know that we take whatever it is we get.  I just wish Mother Nature would make up her mind already.  The muggy days have been stifling for people with allergies and it is often hard to breathe.

In a few more months, this will be a moot point as we are all griping about the polar vortex and the snow.  Until then, though, a little whining about heat and humidity is to be expected.

Looks like another night of storms is coming as well.  We’ll see what tomorrow brings.  We are in the Midwest, after all, and the weather can shift in the wink of an eye.
