Next: Eating Our Young

I, like so many others, have been watching or listening to bits and pieces of the impeachment process presently happening.  To me, it is very apparent that it is an extremely partisan effort taking place.  I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, good or bad; I’m just saying that it’s Democrat vs Republican.  I am pretty sure that the vote for impeachment will go according to those lines and, since the Democrats are the majority of the House, they will impeach the president and send it to the Senate which is controlled by a Republican majority where it will end up as nothing.

In the process, though, the two sides will continue to attack and vilify each other and, if caution is not exercised soon, they will begin to eat their young just like other wild animals do.

Some have called the proceedings a sham, others a shame.  Some are entertained by the events taking place.  Me?  I’m wondering how much money has already been sunk into a process that we all know the inevitable outcome to be and how little work has been done on other extremely important items.

This is an exercise in government that I find to be very sad and disappointing.  That’s about all I can say on that matter so I will get off of my soapbox now.
