Half Marathon Day

Good God, no, not for me.  Today was the day for Disney’s half marathon.  Tomorrow is the full marathon.

I went into EPCOT early to ride a few of the rides up front:  Soarin’, The Land, and Fast Track.  I had to cross over to accommodate the runners.

When I was in line for Fast Track, Fr. Brian texted me and told me he would be up for a movie.  It was a bit dark this  morning and the weather was misty, light rain, and misty again.  So, we went to Disney Springs to watch Star Wars:  The Rise of Skywalker.  I liked it.  If you haven’t seen it yet, I would recommend doing so.

After the movie, we came back to the Boardwalk, rested up for about an hour, and then went down to the boardwalk to The Flying Fish for dinner.  It was really good.  After dinner, we came back up to our room and were joined by two friends.  There, we celebrated Mass for The Baptism of the Lord, the end of the Christmas season.

Here are some pictures of the boardwalk taken tonight.  It really is a beautiful place and you might be able to understand why I like coming down here just by looking at these.  There’s such a peace here, even when it’s jam-packed with people.
