Sunday Mass Live-Stream

This morning felt very strange.  For the past few days, we have been live-streaming Mass on the parish’s Facebook page.  By the way, in case you want to follow along at daily Mass, they can be found about fifteen minutes before Mass begins on www.facebook.com/St.ThomasMoreMunster.  The Mass Times are:
Monday – 8:30 a.m.
Tuesday – 8:30 a.m.
Wednesday – 8:30 a.m.
Thursday – 9:00 a.m.
Friday – 8:30 a.m.
Saturday – 8:30 a.m.
Sunday – 10:00 a.m.

Anyway, the Mass felt very emotional to me this morning.  I could see my parishioners in the pews even though they were not there but, rather, following along on the live-stream.  I am just so accustomed to seeing them in church and I know so many of them have a desire to be here that I just saw them.  I even acknowledged that at the end of Mass.  God is so very good to us.

Now, if the weather would just cooperate some.  The past few days, I have felt miserable.  It is because the weather keeps changing as the fronts keep shifting.  We went from mild and balmy to cold and dry to mild and wet, to very cold and damp, and, finally this afternoon, to snow.  My sinuses do not know which end is up!

But, another day brings another hope and another possibility, right?  So, I am going to get ready to go to bed and hope for a better tomorrow.

Oh, by the way, the four of us (Fr. Declan and the two seminarians who are living at the rectory for the duration: Steven Caraher and Robert Ross) had the “family pack” from Bombers BBQ this afternoon for lunch.  What a wonderful meal!  For $71, you get a full rack of ribs, one pound brisket, one pound pulled pork, one quart macaroni and cheese, six pieces jalapeno cornbread, and pretzel buns.  You absolutely cannot go wrong.  The food was fresh and moist and yummy.  Check them out.

While you’re checking them out, please think about ordering from any of the local restaurants that offer carry out or delivery.  We need to support our local businesses who so often support us through the year.  As I keep reminding us, we are all in this together.

In case you did not catch it on Facebook this morning, I am posting the link to Mass on our YouTube channel.  You can still “go” to Mass.
