This afternoon I heard the news that one of our diocesan deacons, Ray Dec, Senior Deacon at St. James the Less Church in Highland passed away this morning. Deacon Ray was a holy, humble man and a servant of all. He loved ministering to the sick and shut-in and loved helping people in any way possible. I know that he will be missed by his parish family.
Kindly keep the repose of his soul in your prayers and pray, as well, for his family and his parish family as well as the extended family of the diaconate in our diocese.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
