The *#$@*#* people are at it again.
I’m hoping that you realize I would never send you texts asking you for help and requesting Gift Cards for cancer patients or other such scenarios. Sadly, there are people out there who just love preying on others.
If you get any such text from “me”, kindly ignore it. Or, forward it to the police and inform them that someone is impersonating me and asking for money.
I appreciate it when people check directly with me or call the parish to check. I get concerned, though, because there have been people in the past, mostly elderly and very kindhearted, who have fallen for such scams and lost good money.
This is one of those moments when I think about the ol’ saying, “There’s a special place in hell…” 🙁
