Two Doctors In Two Days

Well, I saw two of my doctors in two days.  Yesterday, I saw my internist.  Was disappointed in myself because I gained a couple of pounds since my last appointment (can you say “stress eating”?)  All told, though, things are looking good.  I am hoping to continue a gradual and steady weight loss instead of the fast stuff I’ve done in the past that often comes rebounding right back.

Today, I had a teleconference with my cardiologist because of the pandemic.  We went over the results of my recent echocardiogram.  Since I had the pacemaker implanted, things have radically changed around.  At one point, my heart was not pumping blood efficiently at all.  Now, the ejection fraction is more or less in the normal range.  With a betablocker and the pacemaker, I have definitely received a new lease on life.  I have to remember that I have congestive heart failure and that those numbers can go south at any time.  But, for now, I will enjoy what I have.

So, how does one do a sequel to two doctors in two days?  How about this?  In four months, I will see three doctors in one day!  My dentist at 8:00 a.m., my internist at 10:00 a.m., and my cardiologist at 11:00 a.m.  🙂

And, here’s a reminder to wear your masks:
