Traffic Hell

Well, I’m back home from retreat.  It took me almost twice as long to get home earlier today than it took to get there on Sunday because of all the congestion on the expressway due to road work (here in Indiana) and multiple accidents (in Illinois).  From trucks overturned on exits to car crashes in the middle of the road to huge backups because of roadwork on Indiana exits, it was a nightmare to drive.

That was one reason that I left earlier today.  I figured it would be better to drive home mid-morning than mid-afternoon.  I can only imagine what it would have been if I left later.

I had a good, restful week and am ready to jump into the deep end of the pool tomorrow (morning Mass followed by a funeral).

That’s about all for now.  Except to say, it’s good to be home.
