A Decidedly Slow Day

I have been so overwhelmed with the way time has been flying that I decided to do something about it.  Today, after the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. Masses, I put the brakes on.

I stayed in the office working on next Sunday’s Pastor’s Page and bulletin cover.  I did so, primarily, because I announced at the 10:00 a.m. and Noon Masses that we had some booklets for people to take home if they wished.  I also had to stick around to lock/alarm the church after the Noon Mass.

When I finished locking up and setting the alarm, I decided that I was going to grab my Kindle and go out to eat.  I went to Warsaw Inn for their Polish buffet.  I was actually a “good boy”.  I filled my plate up (probably more full than I should) but that was all I had to eat.  I didn’t go back for seconds or thirds (or fourths).  I stayed at the one plate.

When I got back to the rectory, I filled the tub and soaked.  Yep.  Just soaked.  It felt so good.  The fronts are shifting and my head is pounding along with my arthritis.  I think we’re in for a lot more weather.  The hot tub felt good.

The rest of the afternoon and evening I’ve been vegging.  A bit of computers, a bit of television, and a lot of rest.  Here’s hoping that I survive this sinus headache and that tomorrow is brighter.
