I talked about our Vacation Bible School. They certainly packed into the building yesterday morning.Too bad I did not have a chance to see them yet. I had meetings all morning and early afternoon. I finally got back to the parish about 2:00 p.m. and, of course, by then they were gone for the day.
Today is going to be more of the same. I have to leave for North Chicago immediately after the 8:30 a.m. Mass. I will return late morning/early afternoon and will probably miss visiting the kids today as well.
Tomorrow I will leave for my day off some time in the morning and will not return until around noon on Thursday. Since I will probably not get a chance to visit the kids on Thursday morning, I plan to make some quick rounds tomorrow morning before leaving.
Basically, that leaves Friday morning for me to see the kids as they do their end-of-the-week concert in the church.
I will never understand the concept of time and how it appears to be going so fast that I cannot get everything done in a day that I wish to accomplish. I pray for the day when things slow down considerably (though, I fear, that will not happen until death!)
Whatever speed your day goes by today, make sure that you make some time for the Lord.
I am so happy and fortunate to be able to begin most of my days with morning Mass. At least that keeps me centered.
A day without God is just not a good day.
Make your day count today!
