We, too, enjoyed our lunch with you. There were many things to catch up on. Life seems to be flying by so quickly! I forgot the name of the owner of the restaurant, but since he is a parishioner of yours, please let him know how much we enjoyed dining at his restaurant. It was good food and good service. I would highly recommend Ciao Bella's to anyone who is wanting good Italian food. And yes, it was a long, but safe trip home. We got home a just before 2:00am. That was a lot of traveling for a two day period (1241 miles) but it was well worth it. Thanks again for going out to lunch with us!

That was the correct thing for him to do..though awfully hard. First place eh...harder yet. Being a golf when I was a kid, I learned to count my clubs, an extra one sneaks in when you practice.

Bet he'll be a good golfer and better yet a good person.

I believe after seeing for at least 50 times with our youngest, at about viewing 25 it dawned on me the movie had a message. I could of been asleep through some of them. I'm not sure our youngest figured it out until he was older but as a kid, he figured it was good to have a bucket of water handy...You did a great job explaining it Father Mike.

WELL SAID!!!!!! I am addicted to your thoughts of the day and couldn't agree with you more on this one! I can't believe the nerve some church goers have to even think to ask you if you can cut mass early so they can see the kickoff...isn't that what DVR's, etc. are for?!?! It appalls me, as well, when people walk in late to mass (sometimes even as late as during your homily) and when other leave mass early. I was taught that you NEVER leave mass before Jesus Christ on the crucifix does (the altar server carrying the crucifix)AND the priest. Some at STM need a 'wake-up' call. "Give 'em 'hell' Father Mike"!!!!

This is terrifying information!!! As the mother to 3 young children I feel so sad for them as I do not let them have nearly the amount of "freedom" as my parents did with myself and my siblings but that is due to the nature of this evil world and for their own protection. I will definitely add the missing and exploited children of this world to "my list" when praying the rosary.

By the way, I wish you'd mention this blog during your homily so more people can read it...it's great and I look forward to hearing your thoughts at the end of each day!
