This morning, I had the opportunity to see some of our students again. The last time I saw them was the day they left for Christmas vacation. They came back a week and a half ago; but, I didn’t come home from my vacation until last Friday evening and yesterday was a holiday so no one was in school.
It was good to see them. It filled me with joy. It also concerned me since several of them are home due to COVID exposure. Today began standardized testing and the ones that are absent will have to make that up when they return and that’s always an additional stress for them.
This pandemic is still wreaking havoc in all sorts of ways. If you would, kindly say a pray for our students — and our administration, faculty, and staff. I can’t wait until we talk about COVID in the past tense rather than the present!
