This morning, at Holy Angels Cathedral, we celebrated Mass for the deceased bishops, priests, and deacons who have served the Diocese of Gary since its beginning. It is always very somber to hear the names chanted at the beginning of Mass and is a reminder to us, as well, that someday people will be chanted our name in that wonderful liturgy.
And that won’t be such a bad thing because we will have been called by the Lord then. Nothing will be better than that!
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace!
