88
No, that is not a magic number. That is a yucky number. That is the number over 15 (my inner eye pressure reported yesterday) that I got up to during the night.
Yep. 15+88=103. I developed a sinus infection yesterday. My teeth felt like they wanted to shoot out of my cheeks, the sinuses were so pushing on the upper jaw nerve. Well, during the day, I developed a fever. All day it was 100 or 101. Then, at night, it went up to 102 and I began to get a little worried. When it got to 103, I was thinking to myself, “Okay. This is it. One more degree and you’re going to the emergency room.”
I absolutely hate, hate, hate the “fever headache” that happens.
Then, as usually happens, I started to develop horrible shivers. I figured it was the fever but, just to be sure, took my blood sugar to make sure that hadn’t dropped too low.
The only thing about all of this is that I just had an awful bout of flu/nausea/fever a month ago. My sinuses were not involved then; but, with the radical changes in the weather front, they are now.
So, I’m on an antibiotic and, for most of the day, caught up on the sleep I was not getting last night. My days and nights are probably going to get mixed up for a while. But, that would be so apropos since I’m more mixed up now at 61 than I have been in my entire life. 🙂
