After last night’s blog post, a couple of people came up to me today concerned. They wondered what was going on. As I said, I had a bit of a crazy week — okay, a very crazy week. I can usually tolerate crazy weeks; however, when I’m hurting, things are different.
It hurts to stand. It hurts to sit. It hurts to walk. It even hurts to sleep. (I say that because, when I wake up, my bed is all torn up. I usually stay in one relative position all night but the past few days, I’ve twirled the sheets and blanket all over the place.) I just plain ol’ hurt. Between the weather driving my sinuses to new levels of ouch and my arthritis attacking all my joints — even joints I don’t usually think about — I’m a physical mess. This weather has got to straighten out soon. If it doesn’t, I might ask may doctor to put me into an induced coma until it gets better out! 🙂
So, anyway, add that level of hurt to a crazy week and a very crazy day, you can imagine how I feel. I opened the church this morning and then had the 8:30 a.m. Mass. Right after Mass, I ran next door to the Weis Center to give a talk. Immediately after the talk, I ran to the parish to do a funeral. A quick lunch a visit with my aunt and I was back at the parish for afternoon confessions and evening Mass. I’m going to take my evening meds now and go to bed. I’ve got the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. Masses tomorrow.
Here’s hoping for some restful sleep and a much better week beginning tomorrow.
