Air Conditioner Installed

This morning, I had the 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. Masses for the Holy Day.  The 8:30 a.m. Mass was an all school Mass.  It was so nice to see all the students back for the school year and back in church.

After my second Mass, I went to the condo where they were installing my new air conditioner.  I got there around 9:45 a.m.  The condo was 88 degrees.

They finished installing the air conditioner and charging the coolant lines by 11:30 a.m.  By 12:45 p.m., the condo was down to 85 degrees as the air conditioner was working to cool the place down.  The installers said that the unit was taking a lot of water out of the air as it was cooling the place.

By 6:30 p.m., the condo was 79 degrees and still dropping.  The owner of the HVAC business told me that it was going to take a while to balance the condo as it was so incredibly hot outside as well as inside.  But it seems to be working well.

The set the thermostat at 76 degrees and I expect that will hit in a few hours.  They also installed the Aprilaire humidifier for me.  I told them that it hasn’t worked since I bought the condo.  The installer told me, “Of course it wasn’t working.  Someone cut the wires to the humidifier inside of it.”  Well, that would definitely explain it not functioning.  🙂  I won’t have to worry about dry, dry, dry air this winter when the furnace kicks on.
