Fired? Or Mutiny?

I can’t decide if I got fired this morning or if my parishioners mutinied.  Either way, I don’t care since it was for the best. 🙂

I had the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. Masses this morning.  I felt like, well, let’s just say it’s something you can step in.

A parishioner came up to me before the 8:00 a.m. Mass and told me that he wanted me to go home after my Mass.  I told him that I needed to set out palms for the 10 & Noon Masses and he said he would take care of that.  I told him that I needed to lock and alarm the church after the Noon Mass and he said he would take care of that as well.

Hey, who was I to argue.

So, I went to the house and rested.  My antibiotics and prednisone were really doing on number on me and rest was the best option.  By this evening, I’m beginning to get my voice back!

I’ve got the 8:30 a.m. Mass tomorrow and afterwards, I will go back to the house to rest.  I want to be as healthy as possible for the “biggie” Masses of Holy Week.

Thank you, Jim!
