On Staycation

It has been a long time since I have had a chunk of time to myself.  The last vacation I took was the beginning of 2020.  I got five days away this past summer to go on a private retreat.  I have not even had a chance to take my days off.  In short, I’m going stir crazy.

So, today, after the 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. Masses, I began my vacation.  I will be “gone” for almost two weeks (with the exception of taking Masses this coming weekend).  I will not be going to the office and anything that comes in will be handled by Fr. Declan.

I have no agenda, no to-do list, and no reason to set an alarm clock.  I am going to try to slow down and relax for a while.  I will most likely take a few “vacations” in my daydreams.  If I go anyplace interesting, I will most certainly let you know.
