Down Time

It’s really nice to have down time.  I began my staycation yesterday after my morning Masses.  This morning, my daily video showed images of the rock garden at St. Meinrad Archabbey.

After posting my video, I ate breakfast and then went to the office.  No, I didn’t go to work.  I went to clean the office up.  I spent about an hour and a half cleaning and left as they began testing the fire alarm system.  The alarms were being set off most of the day so that they could test all the zones and make sure pull boxes were working and lights and audible alarms were working to specs.

For lunch, I ordered out for Fr. Declan and myself.  The school was having a fundraiser with Panda Express, so it was a no-brainer deciding what would be for lunch.  We were happy and the school benefited.

The rest of the afternoon and evening I ended up doing little things:  watched a movie, texted a friend, did laundry, had dinner, and watched more television.

Now, it’s coming to the end of the first full staycation day and I could honestly say that it was nice and relaxing.  I’m looking forward to more of these.

See you tomorrow.
