Let The Fretting Begin

This year’s festival is going to be the death of me.  Not only have we had to make many changes to the arrangements of the festival due to security concerns by the town, and not only did our land get turned over to us too late to have the additional parking lot that we needed, but, this morning, I was stupid enough to take a look at the long-range weather forecast.

The festival equipment gets here on Monday.  That is the day that they set up the huge entertainment tent.  You guessed it:  rain.  Wednesday is the first day of the festival:  84 and sunny.  And then, a few days of thunderstorms in the forecast at 50-60% probability.  I just hope that the storms come during the morning when the festival is not operating.  With our luck, it will begin right at 5:00 p.m.

I know, I know, I know . . . worrying about it doesn’t do any good.  That doesn’t mean I’m not going to worry about it, though.  Worry is in my blood.  I get it honestly from my mom.  I think I’ve excelled my mom and perfected the art of worrying.

And let’s not even discuss the issues with the building as they work on our capital improvement project.  We’ve lost some access to it that we were depending on for the festival.  We’re scrambling to figure out options.

I think I’m going to develop an ulcer.  I worked for it.  I deserve one!  🙂
