Today Was A Rough Day . . . BUT . . .

Continuing my “sick saga”…

I had an awful night last night.  I only got about an hour of sleep.  Every time I would begin to doze, I would cough.  Some of the coughing was so bad that I would lean forward and struggle for a breath in between coughs.  It was like being in an asthma attack.  Well, at least what I imagine one would be.  I’ve never had asthma and have never been diagnosed with it.  But is was bad.

This morning, one of my deacons picked up my meds from Walgreens when he was on the way to the parish to help me with a funeral.  I had the 8:30 a.m. Mass this morning and a 10:00 a.m. funeral.  Needless to say, I was wiped out and barely had a voice from my bronchitis.  Before the funeral, I took my dose of antibiotic and dose of prednisone.

Yes.  Today was a rough day.  BUT, I see light at the end of the tunnel.  Status update: meds starting to kick in. Coughing is less forceful/frequent and it is easier to breathe. Hurrah for steroids! (y)  I’m hopeful for a good night’s sleep tonight.  Finger’s crossed.
