A Busy Easter Week

Usually, the week before Easter — Holy Week — is the monstrously busy week with extra confessions, services, and Masses.  However, this week seems intent on wearing me down.  Besides the weather attacking my sinuses and my arthritis, I have three funerals.  I had one yesterday, one today and will have one on Friday.

I am also getting paperwork at the parish ready for the next couple of weeks because I am leaving Sunday after my morning Masses for my annual post-Easter cruise.  It’s a five day, four night cruise to the Bahamas.  Specifically, it goes to Nassau as well as to Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean’s private island.  There is also a sea day involved.  I’m looking forward to sitting on my balcony watching the water go by.

Over here, the weather has been cruddy.  The weather down there is predicted to be in the low 80’s during the day to mid 60’s at night.  I’ll take it.
