Most especially, this day, prayers for all the victims of the horrific shooting at Annunciation in Minneapolis. May the students who were killed rest in the peace of God and may their parents, family, friends, teachers, classmates, and schoolmates be consoled.
May those who have been injured find the healing of body and mind that they need and may God guide the hands of the medical professionals who will care for them.
Prayers, too, for the community affected by this senseless act of violence.
Prayers for victims of violence around our country and around our world.
Prayers, as well, for the mentally disturbed and mentally ill who often go about their daily lives without the support that they need in order to function properly.
Let us be like Christ this day and reach out to others with love and compassion.
