It’s the evening before I leave for vacation and I am in the midst of a sacred, time-honored ritual: packing.
Everybody has a different way of doing it. Some people pack a few (if not several) days before leaving. Some pack the day they leave. Me? I pack the evening before. For the past couple of days, I have laid some things out that I know I want to or need to take with me, passport and the like, but I hadn’t put anything away yet.
This evening, I packed my personal bag and my suitcase. I left both of them open so that I could put in the last minute items tomorrow morning (razor, house slippers, et cetera). Once they are complete, I will take them to the inside of the front door and wait for my driver to pick me up in the morning.
I’ve got the 6:30 a.m. Mass tomorrow instead of my usual 8:30 a.m. That’s because I’m being picked up right around 8:00 a.m. and will head to Midway for my flight to Orlando.
Tomorrow, you will probably see pictures of my hotel room. 🙂
g’night
