This Was A Busy Weekend

I came back from vacation Friday evening and ran through the weekend.  Many meetings yesterday, weekend Masses last night and this morning, and a ton (okay, maybe I exaggerate a little bit) of computer work this morning and afternoon before and after my morning Masses.

I’m caught up now, finally, from everything that was waiting for me when I got back home.  Caught up and tired.

I’m looking at how the time has flown since I told people that I only had a year left to retirement.  Now, into the month of November, I have slightly less than eight months left.

Winter is coming and before it arrives, I want to move some of my bigger stuff to my condo as well as the vast majority of my bedroom/living room.  I want that to be clear so that the parish can work on my quarters for whoever the new pastor will be.  I will have been here for twenty-three years and there is a lot of things that need to be done.  Some wall repairs need to be made as well as primer and painting.  We’ll do the primer and wait until the new pastor indicates what color he wants his quarters to be.

I plan on living between my condo and the parish by February.  I’ll use one of the guestrooms in the front of the rectory when I’m not at my place which is only two minutes away.

So much to do and so little time to get it all done.  The anxiety in me is beginning to perk. 😮
