Today has been the most “unholiday” holiday I have ever had.
I woke up early to open the chapel since my custodial staff was off for the holiday. Then I went back to the house for an hour and a half before going back over to set up for the 8:30 a.m. Mass.
After the 8:30 a.m. Mass, I set the church up for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass. When the funeral finished, I had a few things to do in the office.
At Noon, I went to lunch with one of the priests and then got back to the parish for a 2:30 p.m. meeting. After the 2:30 p.m. meeting, I had a 3:30 p.m. meeting that lasted until close to 5:00 p.m.
I went to Walgreen’s to pick up a prescription after that meeting and just got back to the house so, now, at 6:00 p.m., my “holiday day off” can begin. 🙂
I hope this isn’t going to be the way my “day off” goes this coming Wednesday. 😮
