I had the early Mass today because I had a meeting at the Pastoral Center with the bishop and the priests of the Southlake Deanery.
When I got back, I had to get ready for a noon funeral. It seems that the roofers — yes, we’re STILL WAITING for our project to be completed — decided to come to the church unannounced and bang away at the roof when a visitation and funeral were going to take place.
I admit that I lost it with them. I told them to get off the roof before I called the police. 😮 The rep from the roofers called apologetically but I’ve heard too many “sorries” from them to have them have any effect anymore. I just want the project done and for them to get off the property and stay off the property.
After that, I had a lot of other unexpected meetings happen and, quite frankly, I’m bushed. I hope tomorrow is better.
