Well, this morning, I completed my reservations for my first “snow bird” vacation down south post-retirement. I am leaving the day after Christmas for a one night hotel stay before boarding a Royal Caribbean ship for a holiday cruise over New Year’s Day. On January 4th, I’ll check in to my one bedroom villa at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas until February 1st.
On February 1st, I’ll transfer to a hotel near the port and, on February 2nd, will board a Royal Caribbean cruise for a few back to back cruises. I’ll be back in Munster at the end of February and will then be more than willing to help any parish that needs Mass help.
This is really exciting and I’m looking forward to my new adventures after my retirement begins in July.
I just need to keep my head in the game at present and keep focused on my duties here at the parish. We’ve got to get through Lent and to the glories of Easter first. 🙂
