Today was the second day of my hospitalization. The doctor that saw me in the ER yesterday came to check on me and looked at the wound. It has improved considerably with the IV antibiotics (I’m on Zosyn every six hours). She said that the wound clinic needs to see me yet as well as the infectious disease doctor. It’s not only a weekend but a holiday to boot and no one’s been here yet. But, with any luck, I could go home tomorrow and will be on oral antibiotics to finish healing.
