Well, today was the day! I did a lot of running around today and was very busy but it was a good day. Why, you ask? Well, I closed on my condo this afternoon.
Even though I had a wake service, wedding rehearsal, and marriage prep after the closing, I didn’t mind in the least. The joy of being a homeowner again was the main feeling. I’ve really missed having a place to go to on days off or for staycations. It will be good to get back to one.
First, there is a LOT of work that is needed. I need to have the furnace, air conditioner, and hot water heater replaced. I also need to have the carpet replaced. When I went there this afternoon to take a look after all the furniture was removed I thought. “Oh, my God.” Yep, carpet definitely has to come out. Before all of that, the walls will all need to be repainted. The old carpet can be a drop cloth. 🙂
But, it’s a place and it will be really nice once everything is done.
I can’t wait!
