Michael, Row The Boat Ashore

Today was busy.  I had the 8:30 a.m. Mass followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral.  Then a 2:00 p.m. wedding followed by confessions at 3:30 p.m.  Then, the 5:30 p.m. Mass.  In the middle of the Mass, it started to pour like a son of a gun.  A gully-washer!  The rain came down so hard and so fast — and sometimes sideways — that we got water in the church in places we’ve never had water before.  It blew under the tiling on the roof.  Hopefully we don’t have one like that again.

When I left the church after locking up, it felt like I stepped into the tropics.  My glasses steamed up immediately and wouldn’t stay clear.  I had to take them off and walk to the house without glasses.  That was a real feat since I can barely see without glasses!

After everything I did today, I’m looking forward to resting up and then hitting the sack.  More tomorrow…
