Another First

Today was the first day of school at St. Thomas More.  We “dodged” a thunderstorm that was forecast; though, we really need the rain.  The students were a happy bunch.  We began the day with an all-school Mass to celebrate the Holy Day of Obligation, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  I asked the new students and teachers to stand up and then reminded the others that we are responsible to make sure that the new people feel welcome and a part of our family.  I sure hope our new people feel that way throughout the year.
