A Nice Farewell

The Pastoral Center staff was really nice to me today.  After the 11:30 a.m. Mass, we all met in the large conference room and had lunch together catered by Portillo’s:  beef, pasta, salad, fruit, veggies, brownies, and cheesecake.  What a spread!  This was their way of thanking me for being the administrator of the diocese for the past several months.

I got back to the parish shortly before school dismissal.  I’m glad to be home.  The weather was really beating up my sinuses today as well as affecting my arthritis.  I understand that we could be in for a nasty patch of bad weather.  Well, I guess it still is winter, eh?  I just hope it’s not too bad out there.  People often fail to adjust when they’re driving in bad weather and all sorts of accidents happen.

That’s another way I can tell that I am aging.  When I was younger, I would drive in any kind of weather, day or night.  Now?  Nah.  I’ll stay home and be safe.
