Bishop McClory came to our parish this morning to celebrate the all school Mass. The students were really enchanted by him. He’s got a really soft demeanor that they take to quickly. It was great to see.
After the Mass, he went to different areas of the school where he met students by grade levels. He was down on the floor with our preschoolers and you could see the delight in their eyes as they spoke with him. It warmed my heart.
This evening, he will be celebrating Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Ave, in Hammond as he continues visiting the different deaneries. Everyone is welcome to attend the Mass and to remain for fellowship afterwards. If you have not had a chance to meet the bishop yet, feel free to go out and introduce yourself.
