Every so often, this blog software (WordPress) does weird things to me. Yesterday, I fired up my blog to put in the evening’s post. It always defaults to the page that everyone sees when they visit the blog. Imagine my surprise when I saw that I hadn’t posted anything the day before on my brothers birthday. But, wait, I know that I posted something the day before. Or did I? Am I just losing it and think I’m doing things that I’m not?
So, I went to the post page and saw the title for the blog the day before. It had “Failed to publish” next to the post. Failed to publish? Failed to publish my butt! Oh well.
So, I called the post back up and hit the “Save Changes” button and it immediately published. Weird. Very weird. It only happens once in a blue moon so I don’t really know what’s causing it. One of these days I will get to the bottom of it, though.
Tonight we had our Lessons and Carols. It was greatly modified from years past with less readers (from nine to five) and many less singers (from around twenty to four). It felt so strange doing it that way. But, at least, we had a chance to present this beautiful holiday tradition.
Many people are going to experience a distanced Christmas this year. However you may celebrate, I hope the day will bring you peace and joy.
