I have a lot of problems with Amazon delivery. There are so many times — and I know I’m not alone in this — where they deliver to the wrong place or even the wrong address. Other times, they are late or do not deliver at all.
Today was one of those days.
I have been waiting for an order and it showed that it was to arrive by 2:15 p.m. this afternoon. Well, around 2:45 p.m., their app said that I was next in order for delivery. That turned into “Driver has other deliveries before your delivery” and the approximate delivery time turned to 3:30 p.m.
I waited around the office area since we close up shop at 3:00 p.m. even though there is a note in the account to deliver to the house after hours. Well, I got another not that I was next in line for delivery and then another notification that the driver had deliveries to make before getting to me and a new time of delivery by 10:00 p.m.!
I waited around the house watching the GPS show where the truck was all around the neighborhood moving closer to me and then farther away and then closer and then farther, et cetera.
Then, at 7:55 p.m., while the GPS showed the truck on the other side of Ridge Road and Manor Avenue, I got a text that delivery was attempted and no one was available.
Liars!
That did it. I got on the phone to customer service to complain. They said that the delivery would be scheduled first thing tomorrow morning. I told them that the driver had obviously not told the truth as I was watching the entrance of the office as well as the house at all times.
This is a conundrum. I hate Amazon but I like Amazon but I hate Amazon but…
