It feels like a freight train is bearing down on me. Tomorrow, I have morning Mass and a 10:00 a.m. funeral. After the funeral, I have to set up for a Noon funeral that will be celebrated by one of the Carmelite Fathers because I have a doctor’s appointment I have to get to. I had already changed the appointment in order to accommodate the 10:00 a.m. funeral but could not change it a second time for a noon funeral.
The rest of the week is going to go by quickly as Sunday looms. Sunday, after the 6:30 a.m. Mass, I will jump in a car and head to O’Hare for a flight to Seattle. I will spend the night in a hotel near the airport and then head, next Monday, to the port for an Alaskan cruise.
I can’t wait.
