What A Difference A Day Makes

Today was a long, long day, what with getting up at 4:00 a.m., doing the first two Masses, leaving shortly before Noon, and driving five and a half hours to St. Meinrad, Indiana for my private retreat.

I made it without too much of a throbbing headache.   But after the drive, all I can say is that I am going to sleep really good.  Especially….

Especially since the guest rooms have new fabric recliners.  Because of my pulmonary issues, I generally sleep in a recliner at home so that I can be propped up and not gurgle as I sleep.  I grabbed a set of sheets and blanket from the custodial closet here in the guesthouse and will be making up my recliner for my bed this week.  I’m SO stoked.

We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and checked in and then left for Ferdinand to get dinner at Tres Agaves.  On our way home, we stopped at CVS and purchased some pop and sugar free Snapple Iced Tea since the guestrooms now have refrigerators as well!  I feel like I’m on vacation and not retreat.  🙂

I’m praying for all of you back home.

And now, bedtime.

g’night
