On And Off

Last night, I slept on and off, about 2 to 2 1/2 hours at a time.  But the sleep, when I got it, was full and restful.  I slept in an hour later than I usually wake up at home so that was good as well.

Today, I intentionally laid low.  I went down for breakfast in the  morning and then returned to my room to rest and to work on proofreading the reflections for our parish’s upcoming Advent/Christmas Reflection booklet.  I finished proofreading midafternoon and transmitted the copy to the parish printer where the printout will be waiting for a parishioner volunteer to proofread once again.

After she finishes her proofing, the document will go to yet another individual to proof and to add links to each meditation and each of our parish ministry.  From there, it will go to a staff member who will format the booklet and get it to the printer to be assembled.  The booklet will be handed out at all the Masses the weekend before the First Sunday of Advent.

I am about three weeks ahead of the timeline for the booklet so I feel really good that my part is now complete.

And with that, I have even more time to pray and reflect.

But first, sleep.

g’night
