Today was the full marathon at Disney and it made getting around EPCOT a bit clumsy as we had to wait in queues as they shifted the runners from one lane to another in order to accommodate the foot traffic throughout the park.
I began my morning at Soarin’. It was only a five minute wait and it didn’t even take that long to walk up to the loading area and get on board. I asked to be placed in the first row of the center section. That way, the graphics on the screen do not “bend” at all and everything looks much more realistic. I hope you enjoy the video that I took:
After I got off Soarin’, I went on The Land. I really like those two exhibits. Leaving the land, I saw the JAMMitors doing their schtick. They were very entertaining.
Eventually, I made my way to Space 220 to have lunch. I dined in the lounge at the bar. That way, I could order ala carte instead of having to buy a prefix lunch. The meal was fantastic.

When lunch was over, the cones were all taken down from the marathon as it had ended. I walked around EPCOT for a while and found an old friend hanging out in Mexico’s pavilion.

As I continued my walk around the World Showcase at EPCOT, I had to stop for a Dole whip. I think it’s the law, or something. 🙂

After my Dole whip stop, I went to Germany to visit the area and then was walking to Italy when I noticed that the skies were getting very foreboding. I decided to end my time in EPCOT and get back to the Boardwalk before it started raining.
As I was crossing the bridge outside of France heading toward the International Gateway (often called the back door to EPCOT or the Resort entrance), I noticed that the skies were getting more dicey over the resort area.

As I hit the sidewalk leading to the Boardwalk, it started to rain. Perfect timing!
I think tomorrow might be either another EPCOT day or a day at Hollywood Studios. I’ll make up my mind when I get up.
g’night
