For What It’s Worth

I went to the cardiologist today for my quarterly exam.  At the exam, we reviewed the results of my recent stress test.  I was really shocked when he said, “Everything looks good.”

Good?  Normal?  Me?

With all the cardiac complications these past few years, along with the insertion of my second pacemaker/defibrillator already, I was not expecting that.

Because of the medications and the constant electronic pacing of my heart, my ejection fraction rose from an abysmal 30% to a normal 64%.  I cannot begin to tell you how elated that made me feel.

Am I well?  No.  Will I have to keep watching myself?  Yes.  However, it just shows that what we have been doing is working.

Yay!

Now, on to the gratuitous announcement:  Come see our show!  Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. takes place tomorrow through Sunday (November 16-19) 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 2:00 p.m. Sunday.  Doors open half-hour before showtime.  Entrance is through the school’s gymnasium doors.  We hope to see you there!
